Bhutan Itinerary for 7 Days

Post you land at the Paro International Airport; you will be welcomed by the Swan Tours representative who assists you further to a guided drive to the hotel that is surrounded by beautiful cold atmosphere and peaks of the Himalayas. Upon your arrival in the hotel, you will check-in the same and stay overnight after having a stroll nearby and a hearty dinner.

Wake up to the morning breakfast and start the sightseeing ventures in Paro that count the major places like, the Taktsang Monastery or the Tiger's Nest Monastery that contributes to making Paro famous. Also visit the other famous places on the charts namely, Ta Dzong - National Museum of Bhutan, Paro valley and RinpungDzong post-lunch. In the evening, reach out to the hotel back, and stay overnight after having dinner!

Soon after eating breakfast, you will start for the DrukgyelDzong which was a fortress and Buddhist monastery and is now in ruins. Post this, you will drive to Punakha via the Dochula Pass that is elevated at a height of 3.080 m that offers you enchanting views. Soon after you reach Punakha, you will pay a visit to the PunakhaDzong built in 17th century at the junction of Pho Chhu as well as Mo Chhu rivers and check-in the hotel to stay overnight after having a hearty dinner!

Wake up to the morning breakfast and carry out a guided drive to Wangduephodrang. Post you reach there, you can experience the typically small Bhutanese town and post-lunch, drive to Thimphu that is the capital city of Bhutan in the heart of the Himalayas that has a lot of museums that have a historic interest and the shops decorated in the traditional style that is soothing to the eyes. Have the early morning breakfast and start with the local sightseeing in Thimphu that starts with the banks of Wang Chhu in Trashichhodzong and is the home to the National Assembly and the summer residence of the monastic community in Thimphu. Later carry out your journey to the Bhutan's National Library that is close to the Thangkha painting school and the Memorial Chorten which is another historically important sightseeing place in Thimphu. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight in the hotel!

Eat the morning breakfast and start with your tour to Phuentsholing on a drive where midway you can cover SimtokhaDzong that is the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built-in 1627. Once you arrive in Phuentsholing you will witness the KharbandiGoemba and also a large number of sculptures of Sakyamuni, ShabdrungNgawangNamgyal and also Master Rinpoche. Later, check-in the pre-booked hotel and stay overnight after having dinner!
