Galeyphu-Zhemgang has a plethora of bird species that include, Tesias, couples of Wren Babbler, Laughing Thrush, and  Parrot bills etc.

Zhemgang that is also known as Shemgang is covered with forests and is one of the 20 districts of Bhutan that conserve both fauna and flora for the healthy ecosystem.
