Bird Species that you find in Paro include, Ibisbill Black-tailed Crake, Common Sandpiper, Olive-backed Pipit and Dark-throated Thrush.

Chelela Pass, Thimphu has a large number of bird species awaiting you namely, three different species of Pheasants namely; the colorful Himalayan Monal, flocks of Blood Pheasants and the Kalij Pheasant followed by the Rose-finches, Grosbeaks and Laughing thrushes.

Thimphu also has a lot in store when it comes to bird watching and the same has, Spotted Laughing Thrush, Fire Capped Tit, Golden Breasted Fulvetta, Yellow-Backed Flower Packer, and Maroon Backed Accentor are the important few to be mentioned.

Punakha-Tsirang forest welcomes all the bird lovers overwhelmingly by offering them a chance to watch Rufous-necked Hornbill, Great Hornbill and much more at one place.

Tsirang-Galeyphu is another location for bird watching where you can come across various species namely, the Large Hawk-Cuckoo, Pied Falconet, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Jungle Babbler, Wreathed, Great Hornbill, Puff-throated Babbler, Indian Roller and much more to name.

Galeyphu-Zhemgang has a plethora of bird species that include, Tesias, couples of Wren Babbler, Laughing Thrush, and  Parrot bills etc.

Zhemgang that is also known as Shemgang is covered with forests and is one of the 20 districts of Bhutan that conserve both fauna and flora for the healthy ecosystem. Witness the uniquely beautiful birds like Jigme Singye Wangchuk and Thrumshingla National Park are the habitats of species like the necked Hornbill, White-browed Shrike Babblers, Minlas, Green Pigeons Cutia, White-tailed Nuthatch, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch to name the major few.
