The temple of Tooth is dedicated to the shrines of Sri Dalada Maligawa which is the most sacred Buddhist temple that is a UNESCO World Heritage, surrounded by the smell of fresh flowers, candles and lamps along with the Pallamallawa floors and bathing with a herbal preparation also takes place which is called Nanumura Mangallaya.

You can choose any time of the year to pay a visit to the temple, though there are some rules to follow before visiting the same. Make sure you wear decent clothes by covering your legs and shoulders, remove your shoes beforehand, ensure wearing socks, and maintain the decorum inside the temple.
