The most favorable time to visit the Hemis monastery is during the months from May to September when the weather seems to be pleasant. Avoid visiting the place from November to April which are the winter months due to heavy snowfall, the places are blocked and closed. If you want to visit the Hemis Monastery conveniently, then you can either board buses or a car traveling by the Srinagar to Leh highway or the Manali to Leh Highway that will take you an hour.
