This temple is the replica of the Adikesavaperumal Temple in Thiruvattar and it is strongly believed that Lord Balarama once visited the temple and bathed in Padmatheertham by making several offerings to the Lord. It is strictly mandatory that women wear sarees, Mundum neriyathum, skirt, and blouse, or half-saree, and dhotis and Mundus fr men. Though nowadays there has been some relaxation concerning the dress codes for both.

How to Reach Shri Padmanabhaswamy temple

If you seek to reach the Shri Padmanabhaswamy temple conveniently, then make sure that you arrive at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway station or the Kochuveli Railway Station. If you want to visit the temple by traveling on the road, then the Vizhinjam bus station is where you will land.
