Soon after you arrive at the airport or railway station in Guwahati, the Swan Tours representative will await to greet you thus, assisting you on your transfer to the hotel where you will check-in and take rest for the day. Post your morning breakfast, you will set out on an outing where you will transfer to Shillong that is the first destination after Guwahati, approximately 99 km away and is also one among the seven sisters in Northeast India. After reaching Shillong, you will cover a plethora of sightseeing places like, the Umiam Lake that is also known as Barapani in one of the local languages followed by the Don Bosco Monument, Ward’s Lake, and also the Elephant falls that s spellbound because of the natural significance. Get back to the hotel and stay overnight post having dinner!
After you have an early morning breakfast, you will head for a guided excursion to Cherrapunji from Shillong that is just 54 km away on a road drive. Once you reach Cherrapunji, you will be finding yourself on the wettest lands. Later, get back to the hotel and stay comfortably overnight!
Soon after finishing the early morning breakfast you will move out to carry your journey forward to Mawlynnong that is the cleanest village in Asia and one of the most-sought honeymoon destinations that has been chosen by the newlywed couples. Later on, have lunch and carry out sightseeing to the Double Decker Root Bridge that is 250 years old, midway. Upon your arrival, enjoy some of the local meals with your favorite ones amidst the natural environs. Stay overnight after you return to Shillong on a drive.
After having the morning breakfast, you will start with a guided journey from Shillong to Guwahati that will be your last destination in the Northeast tour. Experience boating on the Umngot river in Dawki after which you can out on a visit to the India-Bangladesh border which is one of the historically significant spots in the country.
