Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi

Soon after you arrive in Delhi airport, you will be received by the Swan Tours representative who will further drop you at the hotel where you will stay. Later, in the evening relax and spend some time outside in the streets of the Capital of India and pay homage to the Akshardham temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 02: Delhi sightseeing

Soon after having breakfast, you will start the sightseeing in Delhi where you would come across the several places namely, UNESCO-listed Humayun’s Tomb and Jama Masjid (oldest and largest mosque in Delhi), Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation site), followed by India Gate war memorial. Have some authentic cuisines ordered for dinner, followed by an overnight stay!

Day 03: Delhi to Jaipur

After having the morning breakfast, start your journey towards Jaipur (approximately 5 hours). Upon your arrival in the Pink City, you will pay a visit to the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar space observatory, City Palace and many other monuments that dates back to pre-modern times. Stay overnight at the pre-booked hotel.

Day 04: A day out in the Amber Fort

Have breakfast in the morning and join the exciting Balloon ride over Jaipur and sail over palaces, temples and forts in the Pink City. Later, head to the Amber Fort on a spectacular jeep ride and set out on the Maota Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Chand Baori & Keoladeo National Park

Wake up to the early morning breakfast and start your spontaneous journey to the village of Abhaneri to see the ancient Chand Baori step well that comprises of 3500 steps. Soon after this, arrive at Bharatpur and enjoy the time at Keoladeo Ghana National Park that is a habitat to a plethora of bird and fauna species. Check-in the hotel at Bharatpur and stay overnight!

Day 06: The Taj Mahal Tour

After the morning breakfast, drive to Agra (approximately 4 hours). Soon after you arrive at Agra, you will enjoy a tour to the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal that was built in memory of Mumtaz Mahal by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Check-in the hotel and stay overnight!

Day 07: Agra to Delhi

After having breakfast in the morning, you will proceed on a tour to Delhi from Agra. Soon after reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day 08: Delhi to Bhutan

Finish off your breakfast and check-out the hotel after which you will take a flight to Bhutan. Soon after you reach Bhutan, you will be transferred to the hotel in Paro and stay overnight after having dinner!

Day 09: Paro

Explore the beautiful Paro town and if interested indulge yourself in hot stone pool bath.

Day 10: Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu (2 hours) you will take a tour to the vitals of Thimphu where you are welcomed by the Drubthob Nunnery and the striking Memorial Chorten followed by the Folk Heritage Museum and Takin Preserve that is home to the national animal of Bhutan- Takin. Later, attend the workshops of handicrafts at the Handicrafts Emporium and stay overnight after return!

Day 11: Trekking, temples and camping by the Mo Chu River

Post the early morning breakfast brighten up your day by dedicating it to the sightseeing on the lap of nature where you witness, Dochula Pass, the peaks of Himalayas and the Punakha Valley. Post this, head to the temple of Chimi Lhakhang that is also known as the ‘mad monks temple’ followed by Punakha Dzong, the former seat of government power in Bhutan that successfully completes your first half of the day. Dedicate the second half of the day, on the banks of the Mo Chu River where you can enjoy camping with your dear ones and opt for hot stone bath and local drinks, depending upon choice. Stay overnight after dinner in the hotel!

Day 12: Punakha Valley Sightseeing

Take in the warm breakfast and follow your steps to the rice fields and the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten that is a sacred hill-top temple. Post lunch, continue your journey to the villages of Talo or Nobgang nestled amidst the mountain ridge. Pay a visit to the Sangchen Dorji Lhendrup Nunnery, where you discover the bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara. Later, drive back to Paro and stay overnight!

Day 13: Tiger's Nest Monastery

Start the day with the morning breakfast and continue to visit Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest Monastery) that is one of the most-sought sites of Bhutan. Explore the temples and monastery and later reach out to the hotel in Paro and stay overnight after dinner.

Day 14: Paro (Departure)

Post the early morning breakfast, you will check-out with your luggage to depart from the place to reach home. This brings an end to the wonderful India tour with Bhutan.
