Chudail Trail<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thorny scrub and forgotten sites in the desert are still said to be inhabited by spirits called chudails. The chudail trail, ingeniously designed by Suryagarh, takes you on a midnight drive to all the spots, nooks and crannies in the surrounding area where they say the persecuted spirit of the chudail circulates. Your journey begins close to midnight as you drive up to the Paliwal cemeteries near the Khaba ruins through off-road trails past the Shamshaan Ghat where cremated ashes of local chieftains and women who died in sati are buried. The trail takes you to the burial ground near Jaziya Talao and into the abandoned ghost town of Kuldhara and the dark lake where discontented spirits are said to swirl in the dead of night.<\/p>\n
