Architectural Digest, the US based magazine and one of the world’s most prestigious publications on all things design and architecture has called the SUJAN Rajmahal Palace<\/a>, India’s most beautiful Hotel. The history of this magnificent and intimate Palace runs parallel to the history of Jaipur itself. The gardens and pavilions of Rajmahal, still in evidence, were first laid out in 1729, the year the city of Jaipur was founded. Since then, this charming seat of Jaipur’s ruling family has undergone several transformations; as the Residency of the British Raj in Rajputana between 1823-1947 and then as the private home of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II and his queen Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n
