Soldiers on both sides of the gate salute each other and start lowering the flags. After this, the soldiers retrieve and fold the flags. The gate is closed on both sides of the border with a loud sound. Then a trumpet sounds towards the end of this entire ceremony. The soldiers return to their respective position with their country's flag.
