  • Guwahati - Shillong (100 kms, 2 hrs drive)

    Meet upon arrival by Swan Tours representative at Guwahati Airport proceed to Shillong.

    Shillong: Shillong will offer you serene atmosphere with its lovely lakes and pine forests.The other sightseeing in Shillong includes :

    Barapani (Umiam Lake): It is the biggest artificial lake and the first hydro electric project in the north-east. Here you can also enjoy water sports.

    Ward's Lake: Here you can enjoy boating in lotus-filled lake.

    Botanical Garden: The pathways are beautifully laid and the atmosphere is quite pleasant here.

  • Shillong - Cherrapunji - Shillong (60 kms one way, 1 & 1/2 hrs drive)

    Cherrapunji: Commonly known as Sohra, this place is laced with cascading waterfalls which will take your breath away. The in and around sightseeing is as follows :

    Nohkalikai Falls: This is the tallest waterfall in India and fourth longest in the world.

    Mawsmai Cave: This is the only fully lighted cave of Meghalaya.

    Thangkharang Park: This park houses some rare and exotic orchids along with unique species of plants.

    Seven Sister Falls: This is the fourth highest waterfall in India. The other two names of the Seven Sister Fall are Nohsngithiang Falls and Mawsmai Falls. Overnight at Cherrapunji.

  • Shillong - Kaziranga National Park (280 kms, 6 hrs drive)

    Kaziranga National Park: Situated on the northern banks of the mighty river Brahmaputra, Kaziranga National Park is an internationally popular forest reserve. Here you will find wide varieties of flora and fauna along with interesting wildlife.

    Elephant Safari: Enjoy an elephant Safari in the central range of the park in the early morning.

    After breakfast, visit to the Ethnic Village of Kajir Ronghangpi Aklam, Kohora and explore the way of living of North Eastern people. Have a glimpse of Assam tea plantation Later, move to Natun Danga Karbi Village which is adjacent to Kaziranga National Park to take part in an ethnic feast.

    Jeep Safari: Post lunch; enjoy one round of Jeep safari in the western range (Bagori) of park.

  • Kaziranga National Park - Bomdila (242 kms, 7 hrs drive)

    Tezpur is called as the 'city of love'. It is situated on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River. The current Tezpur was founded in 1835 by administration of the Briitsh colonial as the HQ of the district of Darrang.

    Agnigarh: Agnigarh was built as a fortress by Baan Raja to keep his daughter in isolation. Agnigarh where agni means fire and garh means fort.

    Mahavoirab Temple: It is the oldest Shiva shrine, where the second biggest Shiva linga of the world is worshipped.

    Naag Temple: this temple worships snakes. Naag meaning snakes. From the top of this temple one can view Kameng river.

    Bomdila: A perfect place for trekking and hiking, it is a centre of local crafts and handloom products.

  • Bomdila - Tawang (180 kms, 6 hrs drive)

    Bomdila Monastery: This monastery reflects the Buddhist and Tibetan heritage and culture.

    Craft Center: Here very fine wooden carpets of colorful designs and masks are produced.

    Jaswant Garh: This is the memorial place built in honor of Mahaveer Chakra awardee (posthumously), Jaswant Singh Rawat. This place tells us about the great spirit of this patriot who fought continuously for 72 hours (along with 2 other soldiers) killing 300 Chinese soldiers during 1962 Indo-China War.

    Sela Pass: Here you will find the landscape of frozen lakes, enchanting tiny flowers of different shades, uneven roads and remains of landslides.

    Tawang: This place shows snow-capped mountain ranges, silent and typical tribal villages, uneven hills, enchanting streams and waterfalls and quiet lakes.

  • Tawang

    Tawang: Home for second largest monastery in the world, this monastery is set amidst snow-capped mountains and beautiful valleys.

    Urgelling Monastery: Here 6th Dalai Lama was born. This monastery houses many ancient Buddhist relics along with the footprints and fingerprints of the Dalai Lama, kept for visitors to seek blessings.

    Tawang War Memorial: It is a 40 feet multi-colored war memorial built in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during 1962 Indo-China War.

    Anis Gompa (The Nunneries): These nunneries are women monasteries, where nuns adopt priesthood willingly.

    Craft Centre: Here you will find unique crafts and handloom products

  • Tawang - Dirang (138 kms, 5 hrs drive)

    Lhou village: It is an ancient Monpa village and they are primarily into terrace cultivation.

    Rock Paintings: one can find rock carvings of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni and Guru Padmasambhava here.

    Nuranang Waterfall: The beauty of Nuranang waterfall is spectacular.

    Dirang: This place is the habitat of the Tribal Mahayana Monpas. Here the weather is mild and soothing.

    Hot Water Spring: It is a famous picnic spot. Designated to possess somme special healing properties it also attracts locals.

  • Dirang - Bhalukpong (148 kms, 5 & 1/2 hrs drive)

    Dirang Village (Basti): This is a beautiful village inhabited by Monpa tribal people. Here you will find the presence of beautifully decorated Buddhist Gompas in the village which reflects their religious enthusiasm.

    Dirang Dzong: It represents the culture of the Monpas. This fort, built in 1831 A.D. served as a centre of all the administrative activities of the Monpas during those times.

    Kalachakra Monastery : Belonging to the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, this monastery is 500 years old.

    Tipi Orchid Sanctuary: Here you will find some 234 varieties of colorful orchids.

    Bhalukpong: Famous location for picnic lovers and adventurous tourists here the Kameng rivers flows.

  • Bhalukpong - Guwahati depart (212 kms, 5 & 1/2 hrs drive)

    After breakfast, move to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward destination.
