  • Day One of Golden Triangle with Shimla Tour

    Agra

    Our tour representative will meet you at a location convenient to you in Delhi. You will be transfer in an air-conditioned car to your hotel for stay. Check in at the hotel. In Afternoon, go for a half day sightseeing tour of Delhi with an English speaking guide. Explore the heritage sites of Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial), a drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's Estate), Parliament House and Secretariat building. After completing sightseeing, return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day Two of Golden Triangle with Shimla Tour

    Agra

    Enjoy a healthy breakfast in the hotel. Proceed for a half day tour of Old Delhi which covers the following attractions such as Raj Ghat, Shanti Van (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru respectively), Jama Masjid, and a drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, a traditional shopping market.

    In the afternoon, drive to Agra which is located at a distance of 205 kms. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the evening is free to explore the local area on your own. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

  • Day Three of Golden Triangle with Shimla Tour

    Morning breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for a half day city tour of Agra which includes a visit to world famous Taj Mahal, monument of love built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630. Please not that Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Further, visit Agra Fort, a magnificent fort displaying Mughal architecture. In the Afternoon, proceed for Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by great Mughal emperor Akbar in 1569. Also visit Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other places of tourist interest on the way. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be in Jaipur.

    Morning breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Pink city. Proceed for Amer Fort, Jagmandir, Jal Mahal and Temples of Kali. Enjoy elephant ride on your ascent to Amer Fort and experience panoramic views of the city.

    In the Afternoon, visit the glorious City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. After a full day exploring vibrant colors of Pink city, return back to the hotel for Dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Morning breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for Delhi by road journey. The capital of India is located at a distance of 258 kilometers (approx 5 hours drive) from Jaipur. On arrival in Delhi, you will be transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities and shopping.

    Morning breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to New Delhi Railway Station to board a train for Chandigarh. On arrival in Chandigarh, our tour representative will meet you and you will be transferred to Shimla. The distance from Chandigarh to Shimla is 117 kms and is a pleasant experience for the tourist. On arrival in Shimla, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be in Shimla.

    Morning breakfast at the hotel, Rest of the day is free at leisure to explore places around Shimla. Explore local lifestyle, visit the Mall Road, its apple orchards, and see the panoramic views of the snow capped Mountains. The scenic hill station of Shimla, is a perfect hill getaway away for busy daily life. Shimla also boasts of shopping markets, Mall Road and other places of tourist interest. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner followed by an overnight stay will be in Shimla.

History of Shimla

The earliest known inhabitants of the region were tribals called Dasas. Later Aryans came and they assimilated three tribes. In the later century, the hill chieftains accepted the suzerainty of the Mauryan empire, the Kushans, the Guptas and Kanuaj rulers. During the Mughal period, the Rajas of the hill State made some mutually agreed arrangements which governed their relations. In the 19th century, Ranjit Singh of Punjab annexed many of the States. When the British came, they defeated Gorkhas and entered into treaties with some Rajas and annexed the Kingdom of others. This situation persisted till 1947. After independence, 30 princely States of the area were united and the presents Himachal Pradesh was formed on November 1, 1966 certain areas belonging to it were also included in Himachal Pradesh. On January 25, 1971 Himachal Pradesh was made a full-fledged State.

About Shimla

Shimla, capital of the State, came into prominence nearly a century ago as the summer capital of the British Raj. Shimla is maned after its patron goddess Shamla Devi, a manifestation of Kali.

CHADWICK FALLS: it is a 67 meter waterfall, cascading into a deep gorge. The falls are best seen after the monsoon.

ANNANDALE; THE GLEN; SUMMER HILLS; SAANJAUPI PROSPECT HILLS are some other places of tourist interest which are popular as picnic spot.
